December 3, 2008

Homosexual and transgender activists are thrilled over Obama's picks for his transition teams and for his Cabinent picks.

A report in the homosexual newspaper The Bay Area Reporter describes numerous homosexuals who will be overseeing policy and employment decisions in the new Obama Administration.

Homosexuals/transgenders are thrilled over the choice of Tom Daschle to head the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). He is described as a "longtime friend of the LGBT community."

They are also thrilled over the pick of Eric Holder to be the U..S. Attorney General. Lesbian Tracey Conaty says Holder "clearly cared about the issue of hate crimes. He was smart and informed about the law. He was also very respectful, and you got the impression that he took these meetings with community folks seriously."

Homosexuals/transgenders are also encouraged by the appointment of Melody Barnes as White House domestic policy advisor. "She's smart, sharp, solid - she totally gets the gay and HIV issues," says lesbian Chai Feldblum. "I worked with her a lot in Kennedy's office. I'm more excited about this appointment than just about anything."

Feldblum is author of pro-homosexual bills such as the Employment Non-Discrimination Act. She is professor at Catholic Georgetown Law School and heads up the Moral Values Project on sex and gender - a think tank that promotes the homosexual agenda.

The Gay & Lesbian Leadership Institute has received more than 1,300 applications from homosexuals and transgenders seeking employment in the Obama Administration.

Transgender activists are also encouraged by the Obama Administration's policy decisions involving cross-dressers, drag queens and transsexuals. According to Transgender News, the Obama team has issued a non-discrimination policy that includes sexual orientation and gender identity (code for drag queens, transsexuals, and cross-dressers). The policy is posted on Obama's change.gov web site.
